our story

Amreen grew up in Potomac, Maryland, in a big Punjabi family. She's bubbly, sharp, and full of energy. After heading to the University of Michigan for college (Go Blue), she is now a third-year medical student, somehow still finding the time to plan her big fat Indian wedding.

She's a die-hard Bollywood fan, a self-declared Hindi music expert, and is known for slipping into a baby voice whenever her dog, Leo, is around. She lives for Harry Potter marathons, especially when they end with one of Jujhar's signature s'mores — a sweet tradition that's stuck since their earliest days.

Her first impression of him? "He was late. Shocking, I know. But instantly charming, easy with people, and everything I didn't know I was looking for."

What she admires most? "He brings people together, makes every moment feel fun and full, and still never forgets to put me first"

Amreen - the Bride

Born between the pulse of New Jersey and the pace of New York, Jujhar blends Wall Street intensity with Punjabi charm. He works in private equity by day, but those who know him best see him as a magnetic mix of wit, warmth, and ambition. Whether he’s dancing to Punjabi beats, indulging in espresso martinis, or sneaking bites of banana pudding, Jujhar brings passion to everything he does.

Friends describe him as the guy who shows up early, stays late, and makes you laugh the whole time. But it was one night in New York City that changed everything — the night he met Amreen. “She was everything I was looking for,” he says, “beautiful, ambitious, hilarious… someone who just got me.”

What he admires most? “She’s the kind of woman who shows up for everyone — with love, loyalty, and grace.”

Jujhar - the GROOM

Jujhar and Amreen met in New York City, one night out with friends that turned into something unforgettable. From their very first conversation, something just clicked. What was meant to be a quick weekend visit turned into four dates over the course of a week, filled with rooftop conversations, late-night dancing, and moments that already felt familiar. Just five days later, Jujhar traveled to Boston to see her again — both excited to keep the spark alive.

A few months later, Amreen moved to New York, just one block away from Jujhar. The early days of their relationship unfolded naturally — impromptu dinners, long walks, new discoveries. The city wasn't a backdrop so much as a rhythm they found together.

Over time, their memories grew: weekend escapes to the mountains, a surprise trip to Switzerland, new neighborhoods explored. And when it came time to propose, Jujhar planned something deeply personal. With help from Amreen's Maid of Honor, he convinced her to invite him to a "fake" event upstate — giving them the perfect excuse to stop by the Inn where they'd taken their first trip together. There, surrounded by roses, framed memories, champagne, and a sweeping view, he got down on one knee — and the rest has been history.
